Writing Reminders, Mental Training, Communication.
Train your subconscious to stay focused on the goals your are setting for yourself. Here are a couple ways to do it.
First, write on pieces paper or cue cards things you need to focus on and stick them to walls and mirrors in your house. At first you will consciously see them, then you won’t really notice them anymore but your subconscious will. Your mind will be programmed to help you focus on your goals without you consciously doing so. If you are not clear what to write, get in touch with me and I will help you.
Second, take a minute, five, or ten, to visualize, meditate, focus on your breathing, or a combination of them all. This is diagonally opposite to what you do during physical training, because you are holding your body almost still, and your mind is getting all your attention. Last but not least, it is extremely important that you send me footage when footage is due. It is a great way to communicate. The footage does not have to be perfect. Footage can be of erging, rowing on the water, lifting, stretching, or cross training. Keep up the communication. Don’t be shy about asking questions.
