There are key nuances in training and technique that allow rowers to generate the boat speed necessary to win. These training and technique secrets have been passed down to me over the years through my coaches, and allowed me to realize my dreams.

· IRA and NCAA national champion in men’s heavyweight eight at Brown University

Maura is a graduate of Boston College and a CPA in Massachusetts. Prior to forming Rower’s Edge, Maura served as parent coordinator and liaison for Community Rowing Boston (CRI) Competitive Youth Team which included guidance for parents, rowers and coxswains on the college recruiting process. Maura was Treasurer and served on the board of CRI from 2008-2012. She currently is a member of the Parent Advisory Board of Unigo.com, a student created resource about college and college life. Her three daughters rowed for Yale University and University of Virginia and have won 5 NCAA titles.

Gail is a graduate of Brandeis University and Boston College Law School. Gail’s two daughters were coxswains at Dartmouth College and at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to forming Rower’s Edge, Gail served as parent coordinator and liaison for Community Rowing Boston (CRI) Competitive Youth Team. Gail also created the curriculum, coordinated and presented “Rowing 101”-a series of classes for parents new to rowing and served as advisor to rowers, coxswains and parents in the college recruiting process. Gail has been an annual featured speaker on “College Recruiting” at USRowing Annual Conventions.
